EROAD has today launched its Electronic Logbook, providing motor carriers with an innovative electronic HOS (hours of service) solution to help improve compliance and reduce paperwork.
The release represents a significant opportunity for EROAD, with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) due to publish the final rule that will require all interstate carriers and drivers to adopt an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to record hours of service information.
The company is committed to delivering a compliant ELD, which will consist of its advanced Ehubo in-vehicle hardware, Electronic Logbook application on an Android device, and secure web platform, Depot.
“With the FMCSA’s final rule on the ELD mandate, many carriers will need to implement a change management program,” said EROAD CEO Steven Newman.
“We are focused on supporting our customers to prepare for a successful transition to a compliant ELD solution. Our Electronic Logbook is the first step toward that solution, and further enhances our suite of tax and compliance products on a secure platform.”
EROAD Electronic Logbook is included as part of the company’s Driver App, along with its Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). It is available now to all EROAD customers at no additional cost.
