“Ever since I was 16yrs old, I have always loved trucks. In the weekends, I would spend the weekends cleaning trucks at my brother's workplace, watch them back trucks into their yard and if I'm lucky I get to tag along and ask lots of questions. Other part of the job is the good old truck hand pump. I'm not going to lie, even I sometimes sit on the side of the road and wait for a truck to go pass just so I can get them to honk their horn at me. whenever I see young kids pump their arms on the side of the road, it makes my day when I can honk my horn and put a smile on their face.
What I love best about this job is getting to see New Zealand’s beautiful landscape while driving different cargoes. Working for Alexander’s have given me the opportunity to travel and learn. They have the best team and trainers with excellent knowledge on what they teach.

“Being part of the Tauranga Booths Team I am on a set run which sees me arrive in Auckland early hours of the morning, unloading and reloading with deliveries being made back along the way. I don’t know if I love the sound of the alarm at 1:30am but once on the road, seeing the night sky, the amazing moon and stars then getting to see the sunrise, that’s what I love. The areas I cover may look the same but things change every day, just like the seasons – a sight I never get sick of seeing. Rolling along in a KW with good sounds and sights is a happy place to be”
