About EROAD

EROAD modernises road charging and tax compliance and health and safety compliance for road transport by replacing paper-based systems with easy-to-use electronic systems that also improve fleet management.

The company is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, and dual-listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), and New Zealand Exchange (NZX). Its US business is based in San Diego, serving customers with vehicles operating in every US mainland state, growing outward in concentration from the Northwest.

In 2009 EROAD introduced the world’s first nationwide electronic road user charging (ERUC) system in New Zealand and, in 2017, more than 50% of heavy transport RUC is expected to be collected electronically, representing a rapid transition to e-commerce on a voluntary, industry-led basis, due to the cost-savings and benefits to customers.

EROAD is also a leading provider of health and safety compliance services, including vehicle management and driver behaviour and performance measures.

Board of Directors

Susan Paterson

Chair, Independent Director, Auckland

Susan is a professional director with more than 25 years Board/Chair experience in NZX/ASX listed companies, private companies, government entities and not for profits. With a pharmaceutical and management background and MBA (London Business School) she has worked in a range of consulting and management positions throughout New Zealand and internationally. Susan is an appointed Officer of New Zealand Order of Merit (services to governance) and was awarded Chartered Fellow status by the Council of the Institute of Directors. Susan is a member of the Finance, Risk and Audit (Chair) and Remuneration, Talent and Nomination Committees.

Graham Stuart

Independent Director, Auckland

As previous CEO of Sealord Group, CFO then Director of Strategy and Growth at Fonterra, Graham’s business experience is extensive in Asia, Europe, the UK and Latin America. More than half his career was spent as Chief Financial Officer or equivalent. Graham is technologically aware, creative, a problem solver, direct communicator and brings extensive board experience in NZ, Europe, Australia, and Latin America. He currently serves on four listed company boards and holds a Masters degree in Science. Graham is a member of the Finance, Risk and Audit, Remuneration, Talent and Nomination Committees.

Barry Einsig

Independent Director, Massachusetts

Located in Pennsylvania, Barry brings considerable transport knowledge of the North American market as well as global automated and connected vehicle expertise. He is currently a Vice President at Econolite and has held other leadership positions within the transport industry and advised Singapore’s Ministry of Transportation on their Highly Automated Vehicle Programme. In addition, Barry reviewed work undertaken by the Transportation Research Board and created patent-approved technology used in Public Safety Networks. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Biology). Barry is a member of the Talent and Nomination Committees.

David Green

Independent Director, Auckland

David is a professional director and former executive with extensive management and governance experience in the banking and finance sector. Throughout his career he led large teams delivering solutions for customers across a wide range of industry sectors in Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Asia. David has considerable experience leading change programmes, building positions of market leadership and working with regulators. He has been awarded fellowships by the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Institute of Finance Professionals in New Zealand (INFINZ). David is a member of EROAD’s Finance, Risk & Audit Committee and People & Culture Committee.

Sara Gifford

Independent Director, Massachusetts

Based in Boston, Sara brings extensive experience in fast-growing software companies, logistics, transportation, large scale product implementation, and sales. She has business experience in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and NZ. Sara served as the Chief Solutions Officer and executive board member of Quintiq and is a director of North American company Spiro, a customer relationship management and sales enablement company, and is the co-founder and director of Activote, a non-partisan application enabling voting in North America. Sara is a member of the Remuneration, Talent and Nomination Committees.

Selwyn Pellett

Non-Executive Director, Auckland

Selwyn brings more than 40 years’ experience in electronics supply chains, enterprise level network security and telematics in Asia, Australia, NZ, North America and Europe. He has extensive experience in international sales, marketing, strategic planning and supply chain management in small start-ups to multi-billion-dollar corporations. He was the founder and CEO of Coretex before the merger with EROAD and the previous co-founder, CEO and Chairman of Endace Ltd. In 2008 Selwyn was recognised as a ‘Flying Kiwi’ by the New Zealand Hi Tech Association
