Reduced harsh braking and sharp acceleration thresholds

Our customers have told us they are getting real value from our driver behaviour tools, enjoying improved compliance and reduced costs. As we continue to enhance these tools, we’ve listened to feedback about improved reporting on braking and acceleration events.

Beginning in December we will reduce the thresholds for harsh braking and sharp acceleration.

  • Harsh braking and sharp acceleration can indicate erratic or aggressive driving, resulting from tailgating or failure to scan the road ahead, and which can lead to near misses, rollovers, or collisions.
  • A heavy foot on the pedal increases fuel costs and contributes to wear and tear.
  • They can keep driving safely, taking a particular note of their braking and acceleration.
  • Again, keep driving safely and focus on reducing harsh braking and sharp acceleration events.
